Peter Gunz
Peter Gunz is one of the OG’s of Hip Hop. Half of the Hip Hop duo “Lord Tariq" and “Peter Gunz" he is best known for his 1997 single "Deja Vu (Uptown Baby)" which reached the top ten on the US Billboard Hot 100.
Father to Hip Hop recording artist Cory Gunz, who is signed to Young Money Entertainment, Cash Money Records and Universal, both Peter and Cory landed a reality series on MTV called “Son of a Gun” in 2011. The show lasted 1 season but it launched Peter’s success in the world of reality shows. He became a regular and most popular cast member on VH1’s well known "Love & Hip Hop" reality series from 2013 - 2016. He’s best known for the controversial love triangle with the mothers of his children; Tara & Amina.
In 2017 Peter took his love triangle to WE TV’s “Marriage Bootcamp” and in 2020 he was ironically named the host of Cheaters on CBS.
In between shooting for Cheaters and other major projects Peter continues to write, record, host major events and perform all over the world. After all “if it wasn't for the Bronx, this rap shit probably never would be going on so tell me where you from”.
Since the 90’s Peter is still a major force in the world of entertainment.
